Boss Joe Royle bemoaned his side's lack of a cutting edge after their FA Cup exit at the hands of Portsmouth. The resurgent Blues impressed and were unfortunate to lose the game 1-0, Uruguayan striker Dario Silva netting in the first half.

Unlucky Town's 2005/06 FA Cup campaign came to an end at the third round stage as Portsmouth left Portman Road with a 1-0 victory. Dario Silva scored the goal in the 36th minute, but the Blues controlled most of the game with Jason De Vos hitting the post in the second half.

Town have named Kevin Horlock, Nicky Forster and Ian Westlake in an 18-man squad for Saturday's home game with Plymouth Argyle. Owen Garvan is the only player still on the sidelines but the Irish youngster will be back in contention for the Coventry game in two weeks.

Striker Dean Bowditch has been called into the England squad for the UEFA European U19 Championships in Northern Ireland next month. Bowditch has already won seven caps for the U19s, although he is yet to score a goal at this level.

Spanish striker Pablo Couñago is Town's only injury concern ahead of Wednesday's play-off second leg at home to West Ham. The Spaniard injured his groin in Tuesday training and is considered a serious doubt.

Town boss Joe Royle is undecided whether on-loan defender David Unsworth will be offered a permanent deal with the Blues at the end of the season. TWTD reported last week that Unsworth's loan must end after the Brighton game, meaning he will not be involved in the play-offs.

Portsmouth manager Alain Perrin is reported to be considering recalling defender David Unsworth from his loan spell at Town. Pompey lost first choice left-back Matt Taylor to injury last weekend.

Rampaging Town completely destroyed a woeful Nottingham Forest side 6-0 at Portman Road. Richard Naylor opened the scoring in the 27th minute and after that there was only one team in it, Ian Westlake, Tommy Miller (2), Shefki Kuqi and Darren Bent adding to the rout.
